jeff wat phone have you got have you had it unlocked yet,

bear in mind that the networks in thailand use both 900 and 1800 mhz

so ensure that your phone is a dual band phone,

if its been purchased within the last 2 years then it more than likely is

if its a nokia dct4 phone i can give you the unlock codes free

just im with the details imei number and wat network its on

Ive bought a couple of phones from overseas to thailand

and they have been locked. Alot of shops in thailand

now have facilities to unlock phones and will also

sell you a sim card to start talking.

Getting the imei number changed in the uk can

now be difficult, unless you have friends with

the software in phone shops.

Thanks to all who replied. Iam now in Thailand. the phone is an Ericcson r380 which I bought unlocked on E-bay. It was no problerm to buy sim card with telephone number. I just went to one of the shops at Big-C superstore and got it for 400 baht.
