I have a BB 9000 bought in England that I'd like to adapt to thai - except obviously the physical keyboard would remain with its english alphabet printed on. I have tried a shop at Pantip and then also the BB service centre there (SIS on 3rd floor) and neither could do it. Can it be done? If so, how and where? I will be in Bangkok until Monday and later in Chiangmai. Getting it done in Chiangmai would be more convenient but I am ready to hotfoot it somewhere in Bkk if need be tomorrow.

I have had exactly the same problem and took the device to TukCom (Pattaya) 20 minutes later I walked out with a bi-lingual key-pad (Thai/English) and "the insides" were exactly like a phone purchased in Thailand. Works brilliantly too ! Cost: Bt. 500.- (included a 200 Bt. tip !)

If you are unable to get this done; just PM me (you could send the phone to me and I could have it done here and send the darn thing back to you.

.... I walked out with a bi-lingual key-pad (Thai/English) ....

To be clear, do you mean they removed the original physical key pad and put in the bilingual one?
