Probe into teen's kidnap ongoing

Police are finalising their probe into the kidnapping case involving a teenager who was rescued by Thai police in Bangkok on March 11.

Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner of Police Zahedi Ayob said police were looking into several aspects, including the statements taken from witnesses as well as investigating what happened between Jan 30 when the girl was reported missing and March 12 when she called her mother informing her about the kidnapping.

Speaking to reporters, he said police had recorded the statements of several witnesses including the victim's parents and were expected to reveal the outcome of their investigations on Tuesday. He did not elaborate, but said that police found "some contradictions" in the accounts of the witnesses regarding the case.

Cops record statement from freed teen

Police have recorded the statement of a 14 year-old girl who was kidnapped and sent to Thailand recently. Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Zahedi Ayob said the girl came to the district’s police station with her mother yesterday evening.

However, he did not disclose the details of the statement, saying that the police needed to cross-check it with the statements of five Myanmar teenagers. Their statements were taken last week.

“This is an important case. We need to check the girl’s statement with the rest,” he said yesterday.

Six people kidnapped for a month and no one knows where they went or who kidnapped them. No arrests. No prostitution rings exposed. Would it surprise anyone if this turns out to be a hoax?

Any bets??? Just another example of the PC brigade trying to make up a story about trafficking when none has occurred.

...(Snip) ... The majority of the clientel who use their services are Thai, plus lots of other Asians (Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malay, Singaporean) who do not have the same cultural taboo around using sex workers that western cultures generally have, and do not have the same attitude to age of consent that westerners generally have...

Ironically, all I see is Farang is Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong, Pattaya walking street, etc.

Not much Thai, or other Asians (Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malay, Singaporean, etc).

There was another article already that said they hitched a ride to Bangkok, were dropped off by the guy at a Mosque near Hualamphong train station, and then were arrested at the train station by immigration police. There wasn't a bust of anything, just teenagers picked up by immigration and sent home.

'Rescued' teenage girl masterminded her own 'abduction'

The Malaysian teenage girl ''rescued'' by Thai police on March 19 along with five Myanmar teenagers masterminded her own ''abduction.''

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Zahedi Ayob said this is based on consistent information obtained from the five Myanmar teenagers interrogated here on Thursday. "The Myanmar teenagers aged 14 to 17 years-old told police that the 14 year-old girl was the mastermind of the abduction.

They said the girl gave the idea to inform Thai authorities that they were abducted while the chronology of events showed that were planning a trip to Thailand," he told a press conference here today.

Teen staged her own kidnapping

The alleged kidnap of a 14-year-old girl along with five Myanmar teenagers by an international vice syndicate has turned out to be a hoax. This was after police revealed yesterday that the girl had staged her own kidnapping to avoid being scolded by her family for running away.

The teenager's Myanmar friends, Muhd Yunus Abdul Rahman, 17, Muhd Nur Abdul Rahman, 14, Abdul Aziz Normal Hakim, 14, Ramzabi Hussin, 14 and Janetbi Husin, 14, confessed that teenager, Nazatul Fadiana Mohd Izwan, 14, came up with the idea to stage her own kidnapping.

According to Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Zahedi Ayob, the five Myanmar nationals had provided consistent testimony during questioning while Nazatul's testimony differed from theirs.
