Patong Beach Road Construction

Featured Replies

They've cut up the sidewalks on the beachside from the soi into the Patong Condo Tower right down past the Banana complex (towards Bangla). What's going on? I was watching the poor tourists trying to get around the demolition. The walkways were put in after the tsunami and were in decent shape. Is it for more parking?

Just soaking up the yearly budgets.

If they don't spend it all, they get less the following year.

Yes, apparently for more parking, but for who, god only knows????

At least they are doing it after the high season. They used to take up all the pavers on the beach road every year right at the start of the high season simply because they were never laid on a proper base in the first place.

I can take a pretty educated guess on who will be parking there, and it won't mainly be tourists going for a relaxing day at the beach.

Bottom feeding Maggott parking i would call it clap2.gif

I suspect that the bike rental guys needed more space to rip of the tourist.
