What'S The Fastest Way To Get To Chatuchak Market From Lumphini Park?

Featured Replies

We've never been and want to go this Sunday. I've heard different things about the best way to get there and how far it is. Can anyone clear up the confusion? Many thanks!!!

Or the MRT from Saladaeng to Morchit. With MRT you will not need to change trains. With BTS you need to change at Siam. But both are fast.

As above MRT, but instead of exiting at Mor Chit/Chatuchak get off at Kamphaeng Phet and use exit 2 which is actually inside the market.

yes use MRT subway from Silom station to Kamphaeng Phet station..will pop up right in the weekend market

MRT is the best choice from Silom unless you want to change trains. The MRT is also a bit of a walk to the market exit even though the above poster says it is right under the market. If I take the BTS I get off at Sapian Qui instead of Mo Chit it is closer.

Yes, this is by far the least complicated and easiest way to go .. follow these instructions and you can't go wrong.

Edit: to clear up any confusion with taking the Silom Station .. the Silom Station is actually the one that has an entrance/exit at the entrance to Lumpini Park while the Lumpini Station is actually across the street and one stop closer towards the direction of the Market.

Indeed, like several others have suggested, take the MRT (underground) from Silom station. But get off at Kamphaengphet station, and NOT Morchit station as the others have suggested. By getting off at Kamphaengphet station you emerge directly within the Chatuchak weekend grounds. Getting off at Morchit, you'll have to take a walk of 10 to 15 minutes to reach the actual market.

Alternatively, you can get on the MRT at Lumpini station, which is diagonally opposite from Lumpini park and 1 stop closer to Chatuchak.

My Honda Tena, it may not be fast, but gets through gaps others can only dream of!

Get off the MRT at Chatuchak instead and hae a couple of minutes walk in the park to JJ market. A nice calm before the storm I always think.
