Reviews For Hotels Nearby

I know that there is a sticky pinned at the top of the forum by George but it hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years.

Tripadvisor is now plagued by false paid-for reviews (of both positive & negative nature) so I'm looking for any advice on staying somewhere with the family.

I'd prefer a place that allows a very late check out as our flight is late & has a pool/gym (hotel not the plane). It does not have to be that close either but it would help.

I have stayed at the Convienant Inn or Hotel - can't think of the title at the moment but it is probably Hotel . I think on Agoda it is about 700 thb per night. It is about 5 minutes from Swampy and they have regular buses there from the Hotel . Not too sure about a pool . Only downside to the place was the mozzies at nighttime whilst we were eating in the restaurant.

I agree with you about trip-advisor - now absoluty usless for honest reviews.

Some friends have just stayed at Tong Ta (Spelling) and were happy with the place as my wife and I were when we stayed some time ago.

Try Best Western. They will pick you up for 15 minute transfer to/from SV. A lot cheaper than Novotel.

Try Agoda, Asia Roms and any of the other hotel booking sites, loads of reviews on there. Only problem is one man's tent is another man's palace.

The Tong Ta does not have a pool at present, their new wing under construction will have, but still a few months away I think. The Convenient Resort does not have a pool but the Convenient Grand does. Nearly all the hotels located close to Swampy have free return trip transfers.

I would recommend Four Wings Hotel . . . great pool, can't remember if they have a gym . . . but, I think so . . . etc., etc. . . . . they have an airport shuttle -- AND they have a deal where you can stay for 24 hours from when you check in . . . so, if you check-in in the evening . . . you can check out the next evening . . . the corner rooms are the best! The place is quite new and lovely . . .
