Where Do You Stay On Your Trips To Bangkok From The Country?

Featured Replies

We have just moved out of the center of Bangkok, not too far away. We like to come in once a month for a bit of shopping etc. I would like to find a budget type place, central to soi 22, where we can crash for a few nights, instead of driving down and back in the same day. We will travel with two small children, so a family friendly place would be needed. Anyone have any suggestions? Rompo Mansion is usually fine, just looking for some other options under the 1000Baht mark.

Why don't we try this in the Bangkok forum? I think you'll get better replies over there? If not, we can move it to the travel forum. OK?

the Centrepoint apartments in BKK is a good place, enclosed and safe with a pool for the kids and convenient for Sukh but not cheap, check it out..

TaiPan on Soi 23 is in a great location for shopping, BTS, MRT but maybe a little close to the redlight district for your kids. I think they are pretty reasonably priced. A friend of mine stayed there on a visit and he liked it. The Davis and St. James are also nice but not in the Soi 22 area - closer to the Emporium..

All of these are way out of budget but thanks for the suggestions. We go down too often to fork out for this kind of digs for a few nights. Just a place to crash really...

look out fer 'just a place to crash...' as you get what you pay for...best to pay extra and look after the kids...

those places that you've listed look quite nice...why bother to look elsewhere?

the old bourbon street. They still have the hotel upstairs but not the restaurant anymore. Nice and clean you got the park just round the corner and in soi 22 and under 1000 baht

I haveta admit that I'm a bit overbearing when it comes to the kids...
