Motor Show 2012 Impact

Featured Replies

Hi not sure if this is best place for the post but i am going to the motor show on Wednesday, for those that have been is parking OK at the Arena. Other aternatives i have thought of is BTS to Mo Chit then shuttle or taxi, or Don Muang airport parking then taxi from there.

Anybody driven there yet and parked.

Thanks in anticipation of constructive replies

go early on Wednesday is my advice. I'm not sure of the opening time though (10pm??) If it opens at 10, get there at 9, then have something to eat to kill time. Traffic seems to build up after lunch (I work near there). It's pretty horrendous in the evenings. There is a ground floor and tower for parking, but it will fill up quickly during the day. From the parking tower, you can also walk over the the test drive area - its not too far. You can also park in "easy peasy", which is the market area, then walk down and hop on the shuttle bus which runs around around impact.

Hi thanks for the information, dread that BKK traffic once took 3 hours to go 2 kilometres and no word of a lie 30 minutes at one red light with out it changing.

Try 5 hours to get from Impact back to BKK because of the King's celebration there:( 3-4 hours just stuck around Impact!)

The Motor Show is in Challanger Hall and not Impact Halls.

Yes if you are a little late it's difficult to park at Challanger, but much easier to park in the open air opposite the Inpact Halls. If there is a show in the halls you can walk through to Challenger or catch the free bus around. lhttp://www.impact.co.th/en/easy_access.php park where you see all the cars 'in the square area'. We are going again for a couple of hours on Wed ... maybe bump into you................................

Went on Saturday afternoon - Possibly the busiest day to go...

Traffic on the expressway was busy, the exit at Impact was jammed up onto the express way. If this is the case take the next exit along and U turn / take alternative route back into Impact.

Parking took a while, but there were spaces.

Mid week should be ok if you go before evening. Parking anywhere involves a walk or shuttle, no big issues there if its not raining.

A taxi might be a poor idea, you might find yourself waiting for a very long time to get a taxi back.
