Phonecalls Thailand-philippines

What are the cheapest rates by mobile phone from Thailand to the Philippines ?

I really do not think there are any cheap options.

However do not blame the local companies for the ridiculous prices to the Phils for calls, its the greedy barstewards such as Smart and Globe who pile the charges on.

You may have noticed that even landline calls are very expensive also, thanks to PLDT

Just dial 008 before the full number and you will be charged at 6 baht a minute from either a mobile (with Thai sim card) or via any landline.

the 008 prefix does not give you much savings to the Philipinnes. I think it's 24 Baht/minute compared to 28 Baht with the 001 prefix.

Something to do with the Philipinne phone companies, even using net2phone or skype-out is way more expensive to the Philipinnes then to most other countries!

i looked at Mig33 and yes the rates are not bad but when you add in your baht charge for your phone they are not so good.

I had similar service when in Australia and I was happy with it there.
