April 9, 201213 yr A good friend of mine is visiting Thailand ( and me ) at the moment. His initial 30 days visa exemption he got, arriving from Denmark was never a problem. He does have an open ticket to go to Vietnam and then further on, as he is having 6 months holiday in Asia. So he is planning a trip HKT to KL and staying there a week or so, before returning to Thailand with a fresh 30 days exemption. But me reading up on visa exemption rules and all, I can only find the information stating he must have an outbound ( non open ) ticket. This is not likely to be enforced by immigration, but by airlines. So will he be asked to show an extra outbound ticket by Air Asia before being allowed to board the return flight from KL to HKT ? Peter
April 9, 201213 yr Most often this is not required on regional flights. If it happens he could buy a cheap ticket at airport.
April 9, 201213 yr I once had to buy a cheap tickets onward when traveling with Air Berlin. Never had any other airline trouble me.
April 10, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I will tell him, that it is unlikely that he will have to purchase another outbound ticket, but if so - he can pickup one at the air asia stand @ the terminal.
