I recently (stupidly) punctured the freezer compartment of my refrigerator. All the gas escaped and that was that, goodbye Mr Fridge.

Does anyone have any idea whether it's possible to fix and, if it is possible, would it even be worth doing? It's not an expensive model, it cost about B7000.

Thanks for any input

I doubt it. You may be able to find a replacement freezer compartment but it will have to be installed. Plenty of good second hand fridges come up for sale here. i am guessing it is one of the old style freezers with the gas filled "ribs" running around it and a plastic door? Let me guess, you were scraping the ice out to defrost with something sharp? They are crap fridges in this day and age, I bought a good 2 door one for 5k 2nd hand.

Yep that's the type, just one door with the freezer at the top and the 'ribs', plastic door etc.

The second assumption is also correct.

Maybe buying second hand's the way to go then.
