OK, got it. You state your country of residence as that of your passport, and your city of residence as anything you like. That then produces a departure date option. You choose a completely made up departure date some time in the future, a completely made up mode of transport and a completely made up flight number. This allows you to complete the accommodation section, (which obviously isn't completely made up, but in my case my condo). Thinking back, I seem to recall the old TM.6 also required something similar, (except as it wasn't digital it worked). So yes, TDAC is not fit for purpose.
