My Computer Was Once Able To Save Gifs, But Why Not Now ?

Featured Replies

I used to be able to save gif files to my laptop and re-send them to friends, but I can't now. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop ( no issues otherwise) with XP.

Does anyone know why this might be ? It's vewwy iwwitating...

can you send as .jpg? might be some issue you can resolve by R-clicking then looking at options. AA

Silly question: Do you have any disk space left?

Did you put too many files in 1 directory so the system becomes so slow it seems like it isn't saving files?

Sorry folks....I should elaborate. I have loads of disc space. And what happens when I save a gif is that it appears to be saved, but when I click on it, it starts to move for about half a second, then freezes.......no matter how many times I delete, then re-save it. And it's from multiple sites.

Antivirus ? No warning comes up, as it often does otherwise.

Sometimes it depends on which program you are using to open it. Normally if opened in your web browser it will animate fully. Some other photo programs will show the first frame and then freeze.

So your true issue is with gif file animation and not saving the file right? it's most likely setting/option/preference with whatever program you are using to view the gif file.
