I think it very much depends on whether you will use a government hospital or a private hospital. Medicines etc. will be much cheaper in government hospitals. Check soem of the bigegr goverment hospitals/university hospitals for the cost.

A teacher at my school is undergoing treatment in Bangkok, but not sure about the stage and because she is a government teacher she gets free treatment.

If a Thai national ,treatment should be free or virtually free (sometimes a charge for medications not on the regular drug list)

Thx for the answers. I was told that the treatment was very expensive. Even for a Thai native, but is it 100.000 or less ?

Depending on whether it is stage IIA or IIB, major surgery may be indicated in addition to chemoradiation. the surgery should be fully covered for a Thai national.

AFAIK Chemo for Stage II is usually cisplastin and sometimes also 5-<deleted>. . These are old drugs long off patent, and locally made versions are available. I would expect they would be covered under the universal health scheme but even if not I don't see how it could possibly run to 100,000 baht. Where are you getting these estimates from? They don't sound at all right.
