Teach Without Degree ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

A school in Trang want to hire me to teach french language but i don't have any degree, do you think i have a chance to get a work permit ?

Do i need to apply to the ministry of education in Bangkok or is there any office in Krabi, Phuket... ?

Thanks for your help

A work permit will be difficult to get without a degree, but dependent on the school as they might have contacts to assist them.

Why would you apply to the Ministry of Education?

The school would be the ones that, in theory, should apply for the WP on your behalf.

If you have a tourist visa, they can give you the paper work to get your non-immigrant B visa and you can go to a neighboring country to get the visa. They then apply for the WP and, if granted, the extension of stay on the visa.

I got my work permit through the Tessabaan in Trang. A hop over the border to Penang can be done for your visa. All other visa stuff can be done at the immigration office in Kantang (about 10kms from Trang).
