From my recollection of being an Extra, you don't have a work permit as such, but are on a list , backed up with wages receipted by a copy of your passport.

If you're not on the list, i.e - you're being paid cash without deduction of with-holding tax, then a spot check may find you out.

Might be something in it...............ive just been watching on Pattaya City News an interview with the circus owner who says that someone who he won't name has got the Immigration boys on their case...........including visits out to the circus.

Hmmmmmmmm.... well have had a few 'Adventures of Scampy' emails lately and I must say ... the circus living and pay conditions didn't seem the grandest!

There are quite a few people that knows scamps real name,but I would not think that he would be singled out.

The interview with the owner was mainly about them extending their visit to Pattaya and moving up to Pattaya Park for the remainder of the stay.

However he went to pains to get in the fact that someone had try to stir it up for them all.............dont think Scampy was singled out.

The way he was talking it sounded like a rival of some description or other ........the BIB have told him who did the reporting but he wouldn't disclose the culprit on camera .

Is there a rival circus or attraction near the circus?

Well as we have tried to tell you guys before, we do get Thai Officals reading this website...

As Moog's last topic was about Scampy and it was in the General forum, it was accessable to anyone (even those without a username) so its plausable that someone from Immigration read it and decided to act or some reader who's just had a run-in with officals decided to grass him up.

So based on that Logic, i think Moog is totaly to blame for Scampy getting the Spanish Archer.

Let's face it - this was a temp job none the less and prob in his best interest to move on.

Question if Scampy was caught without a work permit - what do they normally do? (deport comes to mind) So owner prob got wind something was coming down so he had to get rid of him.

Don't think anyone here would grass him up - he provides too much folly even via Moog.
