Uk Visit Visa Document Clarification

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just getting documents together to give to agency for my gf visit visa application.

Just have some general questions about documents,

Is it acceptable for bank statements to be printed, scanned and email for my gf to print off, is the top summary sheet ok or does it need to be every page from every statement?

Are all documents acceptable in this way to avoid sending anything in the post, as it obviously quicker to do electronically and guaranteed to get there this way but they won't be original copies as such, hope someone can help, cheers

The rules say that original documents are required but many of us have used bank statement print outs from the internet without problems. It is quick and not that expensive to send documents by post and we have found it reliable but make sure the documents are signed for!

I have done all the applications in the UK and sent the paperwork over to Thailand. It usually takes 3-4 days so not that bad!

Keep back up copies of everything just in case!

So I can't scan and email them then ? We trying for a travel date of 20th June so trying to be as quick as possible, and do you send the whole statement, or just top sheet showing balance etc
