The last plastic storage boxes that I bought in Big C are 72 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm. They hold quite a lot.

Try the removal companies. Their cardboard boxes are of a decent quality and much larger than the post office ones.

I wouldn't use cardboard for storage here, if it doesn't get damp and moldy it will be eaten by termites. Plastic boxes (with a serious seal) with some mothballs and some of those crystals (the ones that absorb moisture, whatever they are called) is the only way to go
