In Thailand For 31 Days -Opps!

Featured Replies

Hi my family of Thai and English are staying between 14th July and leaving 13th Aug which is I make it 31 days. My son and I are UK passports - does that mean I have to purchase the whole extra visas just for that 1 night. Anyone know what happens when you are 1 day over? Thanks

If flying out, they don't charge overstay for one day.

If you let it go to two days, they'll charge you for both days.

The fine is 500 Baht a day but as said if leaving by the airport you don't get fined for one day.

If airline sees this they could question you as requirement for 30 day visa exempt entry is onward transportation within the allowed 30 days. Immigration at Thailand should not be a problem and as said one day is not charged; but may be notated in passport as overstay (but no negative effect).
