Well, I wish the Prime Minister good ying luck on her trip to the Gulf .

I am sure there will be a whole lotta sheikhin' goin' on over there with business opportunities aplenty and not too far from B.B.'s Dubai palace.

Discussions may even mention F1 opportunities whilst in Bahrain.

And when the meetings are over and the deals sealed, I'm sure the Arabs will give her and her retinue a good sand-off.

Seen the price of a visitor visa for a Thai to visit Bahrain? :o

Bahrain is one of the most expensive places for anybody to visit, so all this talk about Mutual Tourism is complete nonsense as your average Thai couldn't even contemplate a visit.

Then we've got the "to strengthen ties at all level and promote good cooperation in all dimensions."

What ties? What dimensions? Thailand and Bahrain have about as much in common as Laurel & Hardy and Baywatch!

So in essence she's going there not only to Sheikh Ya-Money, but to prepare for future jobs for Thai nurses and doctors when they are out-qualified and out-priced as ASEAN steps into motion.

(Oh! And a quickie land investment scheme from big Bro, as usual) :(

Now here is a scary thought

Does any one know any thing about Yingluck was also scheduled to give an interview to the Al-Jazeera news agency.

In my honest opinion I find Al-Jazeera a bit more neutral than other major news sources.

We know that if it is English she can only speak it good enough to get a collage degree in America home of cheap diplomas.

I still await for the headline

Thai PM visits Parliament

The argument that she is attending important meetings, inspections, whatever loses credibility with every day that passes. Even in the bastardised Westminster system used here, the PM is still an MP whose presence is required rather than desired. She also has a range of non-MP ministers who could fulfill her role in these meetings equally well.

The 'gad about ' PM should probably spend her "working for the people" time at home. She has a strike going on over the wage increase she mandated, something about the foreign workers being shafted by The employers, Human rights violations are being bandied about, probably needs to find funding and personel to enforce the noodle shop price, Small problem on border on both sides of the country, flood prevention that is not even in planning stage, et.

So far, we have seen the results of her leaving the jackels in charge at home, while on her frequent travels.Turn them loose on the rest of the world and lets try to get a government producing results in this country. The old saying "igornance is bliss" was meant more to denote the cannon fodder than the leaders.

The business people/groups could probably get along just fine without the PM's input as they are more knowledgable as to what their companies and themselves limitation are. Send the PM on the visit to Kenya to talk to the wildlife, if she wants to travel, . She may have more in common with the Zoo and Parks personel than the business world.shakers.
