D-Tracker Feul Injection.

Featured Replies

HI,

MY D-TRACKER 125cc HAS STARTED TO ACT STRANGELY GOING DOWN HILL.

ON THE FLAT OR GOING UPHILL IT'S FINE BUT WHEN I GET TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND CLOSE THE TROTTLE,INSTEAD OF THE REVS GOING DOWN THE ENGINE REVS UP FOR A FEW SECKONDS AND CUTS OUT.

OR IF I'M GOING DOWN HILL,IN GEAR,THE ENGINE CUTS OUT THE SECOND I TOUCH THE CLUTCH TO CHANGE GEAR.

THE THAI MECHANIC SAYS THAT THE D-TRACKERS HAVE COMPLICATED FEUL INJECTION

SYSTEMS AND YOU HAVE X-RAY IT AT THE MAIN DEALERS TO SEE IG THERE IS A PROBLEM OR NOT.

THIS MEANS SHIPPING THE BIKE TO CHIANGMAI.

DOES ANY BODY RECKOGNISE THESE SYMTEMS AND CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.

IF SO IT WOULD BE MUCH APPREACATED.

Would recommend taking it to the dealer, seems there isn't anyone here including myself that could diagnose this issue. Definitely sounds like an FI issue or a kick down solenoid which your bike could or could not have, depends on the FI system.

Good luck!

Thanks commande,

It's really good to have that confirmed before I go to the expence of shiping the bike the dealers.

Thanks Mate

Pretty tough to diagnose FI issues without plugging the bike into a diagnostic computer. The Kawa dealer in CR doesn't have this?

Could be anything from a faulty tps to a leaking vacuum hose or any number of other issues. Best of luck! T
