Popular Post Rsquared
Stop it guys....I'm starting to tear-up and can't focus on the screen. The 7 years my Thai wife was in Oz, all my mates told me I was the luckiest bloke on the planet, and I agree with them. My wife just lights up the room whenever she walks in. Now living in LOS she constantly lights up my life.

Popular Post Tonto21
Yes, a smile is a wonderful thing, be it from my next door neighbor’s kids, the guy who does my garden, (when he feels like turning up) and from the many smiles I get from people I meet out on my bike. But the one that makes me feel all is well in the world is from my wife. I don’t even have to be with her to feel the warmth from her smile, I carry that image, which……….in turn can leave me grinning like a ‘cat that got the cream’ ………Even if she can, (at times) ‘rabbit’ for Thailand, bless her! I’m a lucky guy and thankfully, I’m old enough and just wise enough to recognize what I have.
Popular Post richard_smith237
I think 'we' (those in happy and fulfilling relationships) are very much the norm in Thailand. That doesn't surprise me at all, there is no point in making a song and dance about being part of the 'norm'. I see happy mixed couples everywhere, I actually don't know of anyone (personally) in a highly troublesome relationship (as is often described on Thai Visa.com). But, the norm is not newsworthy, thread-worthy even. We rarely see positive stories, they are just less interesting. Perhaps we all have a morbid curiosity for doom and drama. Lets face it, most of us blend into happy normalcy - thats life. Then there are the 'others', these people will have problems everywhere they go, they make amusing reading in threads, they are often offensive, narrow minded and quite bigoted in their opinions. They make us wonder if we are the 'odd ones out' because their stories are the only ones we read, no one else bleats on about their failures to such a degree. Rarely do the positive threads such as this last a long time or draw in the 'wider' audience - But, its good once in a while to be reminded that for the majority of us life is good, enjoyable and sorry to say it, normal.
Popular Post edwinclapham
I am married to my best mate who happens to be my wife, who has given me wonderful twin sons. An uncomplicated relationship full of laughter, teasing and humour . Rich or poor we will grow old together.
Popular Post skybluestu
Nice to see a positive thread about Thai women for a change! I'll join the group hug too, been with my lady nearly 4yrs and very happy. She never complains about anything (even when I'm being a dick), is a fantastic loving wife and an even better mother to our adorable 2yr old daughter. Actually most folk I know with Thai partners seem genuinely happy, for every bitter post about evil Thai women on here there are probably 100 happy campers.
robblok
My Thai ladies are lovely too for me. Though i must admit after a long relationship things do change. (7 years and going). Its a good thing she is independent and works away from home a lot. Gives me the free time i need to take care of my other lady a real bitch. But fiercely loyal to me and would protect me with her life. For those of you who did not get the joke the other lady is a female Thai dog. I love my wife a lot and I am real happy that she is independent and that her English is good. I once was one of those idiots who had a girl that he could barely communicate with (young first timer in Thailand) and the relation ended in absolute disaster in Holland. Never again a girl without a decent brain or decent job where she is not dependent on me. At least then you know they stay with you for you. Looks.. important but will fade in time. Good character and brain more important(if i could only convince all of my body parts that is true 5555) In short im happy and she is good.. better as me anyway because i can be hard to live with at times. Popular Post chrisinth
Yep, good positive thread Smokie; as has been said by many posters already, it is a pleasant change from the negative side of the Thai females. Bad makes good news, good is boring and all that. Coming up to 14 years of marriage now, and both of us still happy in each others company. Not sure about waking up to a smile every morning, but after I make the coffee things are good! Both need the caffeine input these days to kickstart the day! I have known my wife for 22 years now, but we weren't together all that time but still kept in touch. It was a sort of unwritten rule to me that while I was in the military I wouldn't marry (purely personal viewpoint) as I didn't consider it fair on either side of the relationship; I witnessed too many good friends that ended with marriages in tatters after time. When I finally left in 1997, we bumped into each other again (nothing planned) and the rest is history. As Edwinclapham said earlier, the missus is my best friend, and in all likeliness she saved my life by settling me down but not through demands that I change; she would never do that. As with any relationship, we have had our ups & downs (I am not stupid enough to imagine that everything has always been rosey; would be a boring scenario if that was the case!) but we have always sorted the problems out together and still remain as strong as ever. richard_smith237
You guys are so soppy! Hehe! I As you are someone who has modeled latex and worn it many times before in the past I think you should stop wasting time here and concentrate on the other thread (Lady Gaga Disses Thailand; Thailand Disses Back).... Weren't you supposed to be locating some photos ???.... Perhaps you should combine threads and place the cat amongst all these satisfied pidgins !!! I already saw that thread and those that asked got to see. I highly doubt I want to put such pictures so publicly on a forum. Oh bummer for missing out - but also lucky, I’m not sure my state of soppy bliss could handle such fantasy and disruption… Back on Topic... Lots of positive stories on here +1 to all. Popular Post sirineou
I think this Thread is important, because it provides a counter point to the unhappy but vocal few, who if left on their own , provide an unrealistic view of Thai relationships. If I had read TV, and all the negative posts about Thai relationships, before I met my wife, I might had run for the hills, and I would had missed out on the best thing in my life. As it is 6 years in my relationship with my Thai lady, three married, and I could not be happier. She is beautiful, some times she catches me staring at her, she makes a funny embarrassed face, and says "What?", I reply with a loving smile "pretty girl" and she cones back, with a whimsical look "Ugly Guy" . She takes great care of me, is loving, and has a great sense of humor. Not to be dishonest, she can at times also be a real bitch, but then again, I can also be a real ass,so all in all we are even .And not to forget to mention that you have not being yelled at , until you have being yelled at by a Thai lady. but most of the time I deserve it. She yells at me "you are stupid" to which I reply " you married me,, and I am stupid?"
brit1984
I suspect many of the guys who think all Thai women are bad came to Thailand because their mate down the pub told them that Thai women are all perfect. Their mate probably told them that Thai women all look like dolls, enjoy doing household chores and live to serve their husband (like a slave treats their master) regardless of how ugly, smelly, fat, drunken and socially inept he may be. These guys are obviously in for a shock when they find out that Thai women are actually all unique human beings with independent thoughts (and desires) and, of course, imperfections. Also, it doesn't help that the guy's mate from the pub told him that, to find a Thai wife / girlfriend, he just needs to go to a strip club in Phuket and buy the one with the best body.
