Best Torrent Application ?

Featured Replies

What is the best torrent application for Windows ?.

Also; regarding intellectual property... Is it safe to download torrents of copyrighted material - using your own ISP account - in Thailand ??

I like utorrent.

to download copyrighted material is illegal but safe.....

Uttorrent...pretty much the standard torrent software. Easy to use...works great.

Utorrent. Easy to manage, mostly stable. Just don´t update it as often as it updates.

Utorrent.

Is it safe anywhere in the world to download?

I use www.ahashare.com and www.1337x.org

Latest utorrent is adware. Suggest qBittorrent instead, very similar. http://qbittorrent.s...et/download.php

is that not for linux only?

Also have seen no reports of adware on Utorrent, maybe you or someone downloaded from another site and not the main utorrent site.

uTorrent.

But be careful, some of the privater trackers do no support that latest versions,

so be sure to read the FAQ for the tracker site.

The Box being one of them..

I've tried them all over the past few years. Now stick with the "new" Vuze. Although it has a much larger footprint than e.g. uTorrent, it features a distributed trackerless network, which allows users to find and download content from peers even when they can't find anything on a web tracker. Also downloads multiple torrents at the same time. If e.g. your torrent resides on multiple sites, Vuze downloads that torrent from multiple sites resulting in truly "blazing" downloads.

Tixati is also worth looking at. Tixati is a free and easy to use BitTorrent with an attractive interface and low RAM use. It also has an excellent support system with a very responsive forum.

That said, of course to each his own. For more info visit: http://www.makeuseof...ents-downloads/ for a review of the top 4 torrents.

More at www.vuze.com and www tixati.com.

Google is your friend. Here are two:

See a number of good reports about Vuse. Tried the old Vuse, didn't like it. Might try the new one, however.

I have Tixati on my Linux netbook and like it.

I use utorrent and never had any issues with it, Bittorrent was horrendous.

A definite yes vote on utorrent. I have had no problems with it at all.

Utorrent and nothing else.....coffee1.gif

Used uTorrent for years with no problems. Since I have a very stable version I do not allow it to update due to having issues in the past when it updated. Using Version 2.2 Build 24402

So, utorrent and TPB are a good combination?

Is it necessary to use a VPN?

Not at all. If anything it may slow down your downloads if you use a VPN due to encryption and double routing.
