Last time I made the drive on Asia Hwy #1 (A-2) between Tak & N.S. I seem to recall along the southbound side a bunch of Thai-style heavy furniture stores/stalls. Can anyone confirm? Need to pick up a new couch.

Yes they are still there.

Quality is not great though but then again you get what you pay for.

If you can stand the drive over the mountains to mae sot better can be had for less money.

Second that about M.Sot but the journey is hellish. They are about 30km down from Tak on both side's of the road now, but most on the left side on the way down. There are two or three that sell quite nice stuff one is in the middle and the other's are toward's the bottom end.
