I wonder how many motorcyclists are either still able to walk or still alive because I either slammed on the brakes, swerved or took other avoiding action when their riding took on a suicidal level of insanity - I'm sure most drivers relate. -

LTR Visa is Now available for Long Term Residency
I was in a similar situation when I applied for a LTR-WP around June of last year. My employer's parent company is a large and publicly traded US company with many subsidiaries around the world. I was able to resolve various other queries they had, but they insisted on receiving the subsidiary company's financial statements and I was not able to provide them. I ended up abandoning the application and instead took a DTV visa in September of this year. The DTV was far easier and suits my situation almost as well as the LTR-WP. The only reason I may consider going for the LTR again would be if Thailand starts taxing worldwide income and the LTR remitted income exemption turns out to remain valid after the tax code update. I wonder if under a literal interpretation of current law all global income may have to make a roundtrip through a thai bank account in the first few months of the year after it was earned in order to remain exempt? If so it could become awfully cumbersome. Hopefully BOI/TRD would amend the code to strengthen and clarify the tax exemption if worldwide income tax becomes law. -

Smoky - your post alone tells us all we need to know about your relationship. I can imagine her frustration when you correct her for everything. The previous poster to whom you are replying to hit it on the head! She'd be better off without you. Never mind - you can move on and criticise someone else....... -

Mother outraged after seeing son bullied at Thai school
I'm an advocate of getting your retaliation in first, at the first signs that someone intends to hit you. No point in waiting to get hit before you act. Bullies are wary of kids who hit back because they are fearful of the humiliation that comes from getting beat. So they go for the line of least resistance - the kids that don't hit back. A lesson I learned in my first two years in school. Even if you lose it is still worth the effort, as a bully doesn't want to put the work in, they will avoid you. I've never been inside a jail, but I understand that the same rule applies if you are incarcerated? -

Why don't you show some conviction when asked for details? No matter how awful the US was, is, or will be - that's not the concern of Ukraine, they're a sovereign state. If it's ok to invade Ukraine to gain diplomatic concessions, you work out what that means for Taiwan. You will probably be the first to blame the west for an invasion there. Eliminating accountability in no way helps diplomacy.
