June 25, 201213 yr Travelling over next week and wondered best way/cost to get to Bophut without getting ripped off...? Cheers
June 25, 201213 yr A lot depends on what you plan to do when you get here. If you need transport for your holiday, then there are options. If you plan to stay in one village, then taxi or songtow. A taxi will probably cost 500 baht. You can rent an old Suzuki jeep in low season for 500 baht a day. Usually has insurance. You can rent a motorbike for 150 baht a day. (Look at threads regarding leaving your passport - you will need it to check into your hotel) Usually does NOT have insurance. A songtow should cost less than 150 baht BUT - do not ask a price. To the driver, this COULD mean that you want to rent the whole thing (similar to a taxi). Look for a songtow with people already on it. It should have Bophut on the front.
