Havent covered them all - i always use Yahoo - what do other members prefer and why does every post say "google" it - maybe the word google should be banned from the forum!!! :o

Google - it's the fastest, it caches pages so you can even see something long-gone from the real web and the image search is excellent. For my needs, at this point, there isn't a single good reason to use any other engine.

At any one time Yahoo, Altavista, Webcrawler, Go.com, and to a lesser degree Lycos, Askjeeves, Hotbot, and Excite were the masters of the search business. Google's time will come and go as well.

Google is a good example of effective branding. Just like how some hackers create zombie computers to send out spam unwittingly, so have the marketers at Google gotten everyone saying "google" rather than "search".

99% of the time I use WebFerret. This is a multi-search PC client that runs searches on 11 different search engines. Got tired of going to one engine then another and ....
