Car Ferry

Featured Replies

I'm bringing the car over to Samui in a couple of weeks. Just one question: do I need to book or will it be OK just to turn up? I will be aiming for around midday.

Thanks

As long it's not a holiday or weekend, you should be OK.If you are worried, Raja you can buy an open return ticket, that guarantees you VIP boarding both ends.

Thanks. I'll try to book (travelling there on a Sunday) but there seems to be a problem with the Raja website. I can't scroll to the bottom of the terms and conditions agreement page. I'll try another time.

FYI I had two customers today booked through ferrysamui.com. 1000 baht each (no car) without a transfer from Phuket! I run a guesthouse in Phuket and usually get guests to book at the bus station or with a local agent (650 baht including transfer).

Ferry ticket on Seatran's car ferry for a passenger is 175.-THB

You can book your ticket when you get to the ferry.

I just made the 4 pm Seatran from Donsak today, and was surprised it was full of vehicles... My bike and I just got squeezed in!

But if worse comes to worse, the Raja ferry is just up the road...from Seatran.

Ferries are every hour or so, which means if you miss one, there is not a huge long wait. .... both I think leave on the hour normally..... except for the Raja ferry seems to have a longer lunch period! and leaves on a half hour, cannot remember if 12.30 or 1.30... but check before you buy the ticket!
