Does anyone know the reason why TMB and SCB are the only banks operating ATMs at Suwannaphum airport? Also why is there no cash deposit ATM available?

TMB and SCB have retained exclusive rights at SBIA for financial services since the opening in 2006. I assume the AoT wanted to limit the number of banks to deal with, and thus making the franchises more valuable. Both banks get a good amount of exposure, in return for paying a fee. I suspect the original contract was quite lengthy, perhaps 10 years plus?

Not sure about the dearth of CDM machines, presumably there is little requirement for these as most people are withdrawing or exchanging money? I assume you could make a deposit at one of the staffed locations? There may be more banking options at the transportation center?
