Best Internet Company / Fast Connection For Watching Nfl Game Pass Live Stream

Featured Replies

Hello everybody

In August I will move from Augsburg, Germany to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I will live there for a couple of years. There are a lot of "fears", when you move from one country to another: Language, culture etc. But there is one "special fear":

I`m a huge American Football (Oakland Raiders) fan. The pre-season starts on August 13th. Living in Germany, I always watched the games with the NFL game pass... worked pretty well. But now a friend of mine told me, that I should have no hight hopes of watching NFL games via live streams (nfl game pass for example) in Thailand, because the internet is pretty slow in Thailand.

I`d really appreaciate it if you could help me in answering that questions:

- How do you see my chances of watching NFL football via NFL game pass in Thailand? Do you already have some experience?

- What company provides the fastest internet in Thailand / Chiang Mai area?

- Could the NFL game pass app for a smartphone be any help?

Thank you so much for raeding and helping me out!

Stefan

I used NFL game pass last year, in a BKK suburb using the True 6 mbps speed, and had no problems at all with streaming, usually streaming at the top quality speed. I watched the games live (usually 1-4am BKK time) so internet congestion wasn't an issue.

System Requirements

What are the minimum system requirements?

A: A broadband internet connection (DSL/cable or higher) of 750 kbps or higher is needed for NFL Game Pass. If you have an internet connection speed of 2.0 Mbps or higher and your computer meets the requirements below, you will be able to enjoy NFL Game Pass at its highest video quality.

Based on the posts of some here over the past year or two, NFL Game Pass has worked fine assuming a decent, stable working fixed-line broadband connection.

You should insure that your exact location has access to DSL (via a telephone line) or DOCSIS (via coax cable, typically in conjunction with cable tv service). You should ask others nearby what works for them - re: internet access - as service performance varies greatly by location. I don't think you'll have an issue as long as you live in a reasonably urban area, close to a city/province center/main road. If you choose to live in a rural area you may find it challenging to get network access.

True Online is one of the larger ISPs here, offering both DSL and DOCSIS.

True Vision will send from NFL

Yes, it looks like TrueVisions plans to offer ASN, again, on cable TV here - not HD as far as I can determine - in one or more of their higher tiered packages. However this doesn't really address the OP's requirements. Best case the Raiders would be on four times if playing a good team, worst case zero times. Hence the requirement for Game Pass.

I tried gamepass the 1st 2 years I lived here with and 8+Mbs True line. It never worked for me. Always stuttering. I go the torrent route now. Also a Raider fan!!

The NFL Game Pass worked well for me last season. Have the 10MB True connection and live in a suburb of BKK. Usually streamed HD quality to my flat screen and it looked 100% better than what I used to get from ASN. I highly recommend it. NFL Red Zone is an added bonus!

I think the most important consideration ... as lomatopo said ..`as service performance varies greatly by location'

I had the NFL Gamepass last year, in Naklua, via True-Online DSL 12Mbps. I seldom watched my team live and watched the sometimes perfectly replayed game - less commercials. Very few problems and usually watched the game around 10 -- 11 am.

Re-played the games many times - 49ers ... been along time waiting.

This year I renewed, of course, but now I have the True-Online FiberOptic cable connection at 30Mbps ... also have the MLB subscription. Baseball games are, for me, 80% buffering free. I bought the 30Mbps service to allow for the almost

75% drop in bandwidth/speed when accessing anything outside of Thailand. I watch baseball in the afternoons and that seems to be a very busy time in my area ... short periods of buffering. MLB wants 3Mbps for HD and their speed test shows around 3Mbps for me.

I watch the NFL games thru my computer, hdmi to my TV. Baseball I use my Roku box

I know what it is like to want to watch your team play and my advice is to get the fastest speed you can .... and pray .... I initially set-up a Slingbox, but could never get the bandwidth/speed to make it work .... less than the 850kbps required by the Slingbox - 4 years ago,

from Stockton to Naklua.

Hope this helps,

A question for anyone who subscribed to NFL Game Rewind last year:

This package is only available to subscribers in the U.S. Assuming you can sign up for it, say during a trip back to the U.S., can you access it here in Thailand without using a VPN?

Game Rewind is $69.95, there was a promo for $59.99 but that ended. Game Rewind has some new features this season.
