A1 English Approved Test Centres In Thailand

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of returning to the UK soon with my Thai wife of 9 years and our 7 year old daughter but as per the B.ll S..t stipulated by the UKBA, my wife has to first pass the Cambridge A1 English test. This test has to be carried out at an approved centre in Thailand. We live just outside Pattaya so it would be convenient if she could attend a school nearby so that we can make sure she is at the level required to pass the test and then attend an approved A1 test centre, also in town, hopefully. Does anyone have any details of what costs we should expect for the course in English, the cost of the A1 exam and some contact details for a suitable school and contact details of some test centres, so that we can get started.

My wife's English is pretty good but she's a little nervous, so just needs some reasurance that she's got a good chance of passing the exam. I've looked at the UKBA site and it said there that she will only be tested by having to answer questions and demostrating that she has an understanding of what is being spoken. It says that she will not be tested for reading and writing.
