After four years of moderate use my PS3 will no longer start when I try to turn it on. The lights by the power buttton flash yellow, a few beeping noises are heard but the thing refused to launch properly.

Has anyone in Bangkok had a similar problem and managed to get it fixed?

not yet, was thinking of just buying a new one, only 8000 baht now

Beeping noises may be an error code? If it's something as simple as the HD u could replace for a few thousand

thanks for the advice, I did a bit of research and concluded that it might be able to be fixed but will probably fail again. So might just bite the bullet and buy a new slim one
