AoT presents schools with textbooks to promote learning experience for children

BANGKOK, 5 September 2012 (NNT) – Suvarnabhumi Airport has given hundreds of books to local schools, libraries and youth centers as part of its campaign to support the Thai education system.

Mrs Anocha Palinsoot, Deputy Director of the Special Affairs Department, Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT), presided over the book-offering ceremony, which follows His Majesty the King’s support for non-traditional education. The event was participated by 38 educational institutions.

According to the AoT, to promote His Majesty’s philosophy on education, more than 3,000 books with contents specifically for young learners have been obtained and distributed to schools and education centers in the vicinity of Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The book campaign was first launched in 2008, and the AoT has ever since been purchasing wooden cupboards and educational books for local schools. Each year, the number of books increases, and so far 15,000 of them have already been given out to support young students’ learning experience.
