Chiangmai To Bangkok Train Service Disrupted

Shown earlier on Thai TV was what appeared to be a new roller coaster, however it turned out to be part of the Chiangmai to Bangkok rail line floating in mid air .

Friends of mine had their ticket cancelled last Wednesday I am guessing that the service is still non existent?

Anyone planning on taking the train to Bangkok in the immediate future may want to check well in advance that it is running!

I have friends going tonight. Bus to Lampang (at least I think its Lampang) and train from there to BKK.

My friend was on the train coming to chiang mai yesterday morning and he said his train derailed he got his bike off the train and rode to chiang mai he said it derailed around 5 am .
