Phang Nga Immigration

Featured Replies

Hallo all BM:s,

For a while ago I asked some questions about Phuket Immigration thanks for the response..Now I have found out that i "belong" to Immigration in Phang Nga because i live in Bang Niang (north of Khao Lak). I know that Immigrationoffices sort live there own lives so to speak...do You have any opinions about this office? I'm going to make my first 90-check on my O-A visa.

Not sure what this post has to do with the op which has nothing to do with Phuket, great film!!

I had this mental picture of the OP getting ready to visit Phang Nga Immigration for the first time, and this came to mind......smile.png

Good movie pagllim..:) I'll see what I can do..

Couldn't be worse than Phuket. My experience dealing with immigration offices outside touristy area's is that they are super friendly, helpful, and don't ask for or expect backhanders like in Phuket. However some services may be limited.

Oh, happens every day. Also correct change not returned, people getting charged for a resident cert which is supposed to be free, etc etc. A mate of mine who missed his 90-day was told last week "2000B fine with receipt, 1000B without." This was told to him by the farang volunteer after the volunteer consulted with the big boss in the back.

Never paid anything other than the published fee in 7 years. Got a receipt every time. Follow the rules, they can't mess with you. I never talk to those farang volunteers anymore either. They don't know what they are talking about IMO. I know exactly who to talk to for what I want and always have all my copies and paperwork in order.

My usual time for the 90-day-Report in Phuket is about 3 minutes and no "backhanders" at all. Being polite can work wonders. Oh yes, reporting within the time window can save money.
