That link above is for a "downhill meeting and race clinic". With a maximum of 10 participants, it's not a real race, but could be fun anyway.

For those interested in road racing, the biggest event of the year is coming up -- the Masters Tour of Chiang Mai, a 4 day stage race from 20-23 October. Full info here: http://masterstourofchiangmai.com/

From what I hear, there are downhill races that weekend besides the clinic, but I haven't checked any of the Thai websites for better information.

How many riders do you think will be in the Master's Tour? Sounds like it will be a big event.

Last year was the first time they held the Master's Tour. It had about 160 participants in the various fields. The turnout would have been much better but many riders couldn't make it to CM because of flood related problems. I would guess that this year there might be between 250 and 300 participants. If you want a more accurate estimate and an up-to-date count on how many riders have pre-registered, contact Khun Wisut at Spin Bike.
