A hell of a lot of humor is based on the sufferings and pratfalls of others. So to those on their soap boxes, I would suggest you lighten up. I feel sorry for the man, he clearly needs help. I have seen this done twice in the UK, one tried to castrate himself with a fork. Both were severely mentally ill. No laughing matter I hope he recovers. Kapun Krup, Mahalo, Thank You I was starting to wonder if there were any people posting, that used any compassion or common sense, all this sick joking is ever so immature, if half of these posters would get off the porch and start doing a tad Tam Boon, like making areas safer for the voiceless, children, wildlife, all waterways and soil, getting some mental and physical exercise at the same time, they might also start using both sides of their brain. Don't get me wrong, I know that there are a few sensible, sober, expats out there, I now and again see a few, I'm not raggin on you gentlemen, just the goofballs that only think of me, me, me, forgetting there is we, we, we and for every bad, sad thing that is reported, think it's smart to assume ass u me, knowing absolutely nothing about the case, always verbally bitch slapping the police. It makes one wonder why they even live here, unless they just can't get laid where they come from and the little head is still boss of their big head. Sorry I just had to vent, it's to damm bad that most of us Farangs can't set good examples, instead of using our bad manners, we are supposed to be the educated ones, I often wonder... Good post. It is possible that the guy had suffered some kind of abuse while working in Korea. I feel a similar sad feeling as you do when I read the numerous Thailand/Thai negative posts that TV members seem to automatically come out with at every opportunity. If I was a senior member of Thai Immigration and regularly read TV I would be tempted to introduce an attitude/culture test as part of immigration procedures for foreigners applying for any kind of residence visa to try and filter out people who come here only to complain about the people and the country. I only take comfort from my belief that such losers are also the ones who get cheated the most as their attitude is probably apparent to people they deal with day to day. My guess is that perhaps he took some drugs in Korea he couldn't handle. Or he never was in a plane before and the pressure change in the cabin or working up somewhere high above sea level made a blood vessel in his brain rupture or whatever... who knows... Violence could also have been the cause of his sudden change of behaviour. I know of a Thai girl who chose the wrong guy to be with. She was a very nice and rather clever (except in love matters) person before she met that guy (that was about 22 or 23 years ago on Patong Beach). He however had a bad temper and was using a lot of drugs and used to beat her up on a daily basis. Friends intervened and tried to end that unfortunate relationship by giving temporary refuge to the girl and trying to teach the guy some "lessons". Didn't work since the girl would always run back to him. Then one day after another "stormy" night, the girl was nothing but an empty shell wandering about and searching for her boyfriend who was by then serving a long jail term for drug pushing... Was frightening to see her - she was like a zombie! That guy basically managed to knock her brains out One of the worst "real life stories" I have witnessed here so far... Btw - don't think this story is a very good foundation for stupid jokes, even though I must admit that I too was tempted at first... We're only humans after all... The brains chemistry is delicate and many chemical interactions happen that can be imbalanced, the severity of which has partiality. Some of us make light of this,and in it's own way this is therapy, and an outlet to the cold facts of this happening to anyone ,anytime. I notice after horrific events, many sick, ironic jokes circulate. I, personally feel bad for all folks who suffer from anything, and i keep close watch on the friends and other special people around me, looking for the tell-tale strange changes that can forecast mental problems.
