Toyota Dealers?

Featured Replies

Is this normal I am asking. Ordered a vios in July on the 9th, we were told 5 weeks. Then in Aug were told another 2 weeks. In Sept it was by the end of the month. Now it is 'definitely' by the end of Oct.but cannot give us a date. Do they normally mess customers about like this? I have no confidence in their promises but the mrs seems to think all is OK says we are 3 in the queue, if thats true they don't seem to sell many as we have been no 3 for the past three weeks. This dealership is on param 2 Bkk.

You have paid your deposit and have waited in good faith. I am wondering if someone "jumped the Queue"?

I have heard of people paying extra to not have to wait.

Dunno if it is normal, but it is not uncommon. Toyota did the same with our Fortuner last year. Are they still blaming the floods?

They've probably recalled it in anticipation.

Sounds like they got a whiff that your booking was contingent on delivery speed, so gave you the delay-after-delay routine..

How much deposit did you pay? if not too much, you might want to consider hitting the phones and trying to find a dealer with stock, or who hasn't yet booked up their quota for the next however many months..

Or, ring around for availability on a City, it's a better car anyway ;)

From past posts a letter to Japan copied to the dealer receives very fast results. I would service it an another dealer though if you do this.
