Was wondering if there are any car "junkyards" in/around Phuket?

In Germany/America etc. for example we having these yards, always cheap to get "spareparts" for all kind of vehicles there..

In Bangkok there are places too but here I didn't really see them..

Never seen a car scrap yard here on Phuket Island. I can only guess that most cars are repaired no matter how bad they are damaged or deteriorated.

I have spotted a few places that have salvaged more valuable parts for recycling, but stock is very limited. unlike my younger (poorer) days where there were many scrap yards in my neighbourhood, take some tools, search about for a junked model similar to my old car, and extract the part, and negotiate with the yard owner, take the chance that it would last for a short while in my car.

LIK is right, every vehicle is repaired here unless so badly damaged that there is nothing salvageable

Panel-beaters are cheap here compared to western countries

Cars that have been in an accident etc, are recovered and usually shipped back to BKK. Insurance wise is my guess.
