Phuket Pet Market?

Featured Replies

I have heard that there is a "Pet Market" somewhere in Phuket Town which has ALL types of domestic pets for sale, as well as pet supplies and accessories.

Apparently, it's not held every day, but only on certain days of the week. (e.g. Wednesdays & Saturdays?)

If anyone has any information about, or experience with purchasing a dog / cat / hamster etc...at this market (as well as the exact location of it, and days of service), I would be most grateful for your advice and assistance.

Thanks in advance!

In the weekend.

Please don't buy there, the animals are raised under appalling circumstances, and are quite often in very bad condition, inbred, etc.

Never heard of a pet market but at the weekend market in Phuket town they sell different types of pets there, open Saturday and Sunday 5pm on

From Cental head towards Chalong, first set of traffic lights turn left, about 150 metres up on right hand side

If you mean to the pet shops in the weekend market, I suggest you not to buy there. What I have heard is the same as what stevenl replied above.

By the way adopting a Thai dog from Soi Dog foundation is is a good idea too. :)
