Linux Emc2 Users Here ?

Featured Replies

Hallo

I wonder if there are any experienced users in this forum who can give me some more info on using my CNC router. Would be nice to find some users here. I attach a picture of the router I have here.

Thank you for possible response !

I am a future emc2 user (probably) bought a nice acer mini desktop with a paralell port yesterday and it even passes the latency test.

No cnc machine yet, trying to determine what i really need. If i find something i can post it here.

Where did you buy that machine, looks compact. What materials are you going to use?

The workspace is 60 x 120 cm and it can handle wood and aluminum. I purchased in China where I lived for some time so I visited in Jinan ( where most CNC machines are made ) many places so I think I have the best machine with a good price. All wiring is redone and now the machine is real good quality. I had a frame made here in Thailand so the router is now of the floor and with the computer I bought its a perfect set.

I am planning to build this one: http://www.kronosrobotics.com/krmx02/index.shtml

Instead of using all that expensive aluminum extrusion i will use some concrete mix.

In the mean time i think i will purchase one of those chinese ones available on ebay. probably the 6040. A shop in Thailand is http://www.cncmaker.com/ but they only seem to have the more bulkier ones.
