Featured Replies

A SUSPECTED drug dealer was found dead with a bullet wound in the neck at the back of a house in Bophut.

Police Lt.Col. Thawatchai Phromthep, investigator at the Bophut provincial police station, identified the body as that of Mr. Phongsak Phrommuang or Bon, 30, from Suratthani province.

Mr. Phongsak is believed to have been involved in drugs and police say his name is on the blacklist of the Koh Samui police.

Police are still searching for the owner of the rented apartment who has reportedly been missing, it was gathered.

Bon's been dead and buried for weeks now - leave it off.

It's hardly news. I could actually add a lot more details but the bugger's dead so - apart from being able to read local papers and having nothing better to do, - what's your purpose in this? Take care lest the owners of Samui Express send the boys round to settle with you for loss of income.

More to the point the identity of the guy who shot him is known but police still haven't caught him.

And please note SUSPECTED drug dealer.

Let him rest in peace.

Actually any helpful (and truthful) information would be appreciated for people trying to understand the local culture, including possibly illegal/shadow aspects of local society. Not gossip that disrespects the dead, just established things. If it's already published in local papers then it's probably not going to hurt the family of the deceased.

Why are you so uptight? A line of income disrupted? And you do not wish a drug dealer to have a rest in peace.

That topic had been discussed in another thread. Perhaps our mistake not attending to it earlier as an old news item & we have let it run.
