A friend gave me a bottle of Chevis Regal today. When I opened the box at home the bottle was half empty.

His kids have been raiding the liquor cabinet. Bastards.

Still, tastes ok.

We can't have drinking on this thread as well, lets all go back to the den of iniquity...

It's a English/ Irish thing... what's important is - Suegha: do you care about the Earth, like the environment? That's what is important right now . Tipples are NOT important! :D

Please allow me to ask some questions here.

1. what is....indeed...a 'tipple' ?

2. what is the meaning behind 'bedlam' ?

sorry but I'm not familiar with these expressions.

In my language 'Lam' means you are very drunk and 'Bed' means 'Bed :D so......Bedlam would mean in my language:

Bed-Drunk...but I suppose it's not anything like that, right?....or wrong? :D

Oh, and yes.....who the heck is 'Suegha'.........? :D

LaoPo :o

Tipple is a nice work for a drink (alcoholic one).

Yes I very much care for the environment, mother earth and mother nature. We can all do our bit no matter how small.

Why do you ask?

Oh, Bedlam means a 'madhouse' or 'an 'uproar'. In conversation, ie, it was Bedlam... can mean it was mayhem! That sort of thing.

Who's Suegha? It's me!!!

2. what is the meaning behind 'bedlam' ?

Bedlam was the name of a mad-house near London in the early 19th century.

It was very popular on Sundays. Fathers would take their whole family there to laugh and throw rotten vegetables at the inhabitants.

Kinda like what happens here.

Thanks a lot! :D

Can tell my friends I learned something again, today :o:D

Interesting to learn how a certain name or word 'travels'. I just looked it up at Wikipedia. Have a look please:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedlam

Maybe you can add something to Wikipedia in order to improve the website, since it isn't decribed as you did, as of yet?

Redrus, who's redrus, I have never come across him in my tv travels, he sounds like a nice guy to me...

Redrus does more than lick windows... He licks Nipples too...

Tipples are a bit like nipples, except the liquor is served in a glass... It's a drink.
