Google Changes My Search To .co.th

Featured Replies

In Chrome, when I select a bit of text on a site I get an option to do a search in google for those keywords, it allways goes to bloody googel.co.th to do it and it is driving me nuts. Anyone know how to stop this?

In the setting I have the default search set to google.com/ncr no country redirect.

Using Win 7 on a PC

Pls comment if you know?

you mean that there are people that don't use Firefox? Wow.

You are having a (big) problem that comes up at least once a month in forums here.

Have to change settings, I can't remember how, but trawl through this forum or just pester member J6pack, he is a virtuoso. AA

google chrome v15

1. option --> basic --> manage search engines...

2. add new search engine in "Other search engines"

textbox 1 = Google English

textbox 2 = Google.com

textbox 3 = http://www.google.com/ncr?#search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{google:originalQueryForSuggestion}{google:searchFieldtrialParameter}{google:instantFieldTrialGroupParameter}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=%s&hl=en

3. don't forget to press "Enter" and click "make it default"

This has been bugging me for months, just fixed it.

Go to the settings and click Manage search engines. If the Default is set to google.com change it to google.com/ncr

Worked for me.

I use Opera. To me, Firefox is too much like Internet Explorer. I do use Firefox, but ONLY as a last resort before sinking to IE.

I know but I couldn't live without all the addons that I have. Been with them since FF 2

I use Comodo Dragon which is actually Chrome with better security. It uses Chrome extensions. I went to manage search engines and deleted the Google.th extension and chose Google.com. as default. No problems for the past couple of months.

Then went to another shop in conjuction with the retailer to have it programmed

All was fine on the opening page & inputing documents from old computer ( I am not really computer savy )

They said they could not install Windows 8 ( maybe language barrier or my existing programs were no good )

So as mentioned when i decided to go on the net to check email everything was in thai & it now takes me longer to acces email even though it is suppose to be the same system Windows 7

I just also wander why they program for Thai knowing that they are dealing with a foriegner

Did you even read the OP?

you mean that there are people that don't use Firefox? Wow.

Yeah, most of us in fact: http://gs.statcounter.com/

Well this just means that some people are very conservative, they use IE because Microsoft installs it on your computer. A lot of the stuff that has improved with IE over the last year or two are there because of FF competition. Computer savvy guys (I am not one) generally use FF.
