Lopburi - Your Ideas?

Hello, as of December 25th i will spend a few days in Lopburi town and around. I have the current Rough Guide and the 2009 Lonely Planet, but would like to hear your suggestions for the area too! I do speak a bit of tourist Thai that's useful with hotels, restaurants and drivers. Things that interest me:

- atmospheric eateries and coffee shops, esp outdoors

- good live music places for morlam or songs-for-life

- rentals for cars, motorcycles or bicycles

- maybe driver for provincial onward-travel

- suggestions for surrounding provincial towns such as Singburi etc.

- nature

- expeditions to sunflower fields

- maybe a place for New Year's Eve (lively, not solemn)

- anything you find remarkable

So how was Lop Buri then ?
