Lower House Speaker Shwe Mann was quoted by The New Light of Myanmar as saying that during the upcoming session, Parliament will pass a new national plan, a national budget, taxation and investment laws, and a law governing the country’s special economic zones. During the last session, which ended on Nov. 22, three laws, including one on foreign investment, were enacted, while three others were revoked.
