I am currently on a triple entry tourist visa from Canada. It fits my life schedule perfectly, BUT!

I recently heard some second hand information that Thailand will be cancelling the multiple entry tourist visa and only allow tourists to visit Thailand for a maximum of one month. Anything more than that would mean going out of Thailand to an adjoining country and doing the 14 day "THING". That would completely change my plans of visiting Thailand on a regular basis or purchasing anything of any value in this country. I don't WANT to spend long periods of time in Laos, Cambodia or Myanmar. I still haven't seen all I want to see of Thailand. I'm too young to apply for a retirement visa and I don't want to go the route of some phony teaching job just to stay here.

Can anyone tell me if this rumour of cancelling multiple entry tourist visas is true? I've tried checking elsewhere, but I still get the same old information.

There is no such information and this thread is closed unless/until there is.

Suspect you are mixing up non immigrant multi entry visas with tourist visas which are never called multi entry but only issued as one, two or three entry. Multi entry non immigrant visas are indeed becoming less available but have nothing to do with tourist entry.
