Chalong Circle, Yesterday About 7Pm. Usual Traffic Jam, Or Tuk Tuk Blockade?

A question to the people, who had to pass the circle, around that time.

Was it a 'normal' saturday evening traffic jam, because of a lot of traffic and {probably} police ruling the circle?

Or some accident? Some efficient Tuk Tuk blockade because of PEGAS? Or some PEGAS Minibuses, b/c of not having jobs, circling around Ha Yek?

I was on the motorcycle, so I didn't bother, to find out, and drove around Villa market., But even ChaoFaah west was at standstill, almost up to the traffic light, Patak Road up to the Gas station.

Chao Faah east wasn't looking good too, and I can only assume, that the road in Rawai probably had a standstill minimum down to Lotus.

Anyone? Actually, I hope there was a 'we have to block the lane for minimum 30 minutes' minor accident, but I do not find anything about an accident.

So looks a bit like more cars, more chaos, in Chalong

I often see Chao Fa West backed up from the circle at various times during the day but the Wichit Rd side seems to suffer more. I feel it is because the circle is too small for 5 roads & it could have been made bigger had they not let the construction of the newer commercial premises happen. Even now if they build a wider left turn from Chao Fa West to East & from Wichit to Patak it could solve a lot of the traffic build up.

Unfortunately this is quite normal at the moment at that time.

Very unfortunately!

Thanks

I have seen them backed up to Lemon Green. That was really exceptional though, and I was coming from the circle then so was not involved myself.

It was virtually the same in low season.you will just have to get used to it because I can only see it getting worse.

It was going (South) almost to Sai Yuan. I tried to leave Fisherman's around 6.15 PM (going north) and decided to head South instead to visit a friend. I have been caught there too many times and prefer to wait it out in a bar or restaurant....
