Anyone have the schedule of events for the kids day show at Wing 21?

We drove past the entrance of the base this morning and there was a sign saying that the kids day was tomorrow 12/1 from 0800 to 1500. Ive heard it was good last year so will give it a go tomorrow

Kids danced in the local [ Buntharik ] kids show, wife says Saturday is kids day, maybe we should take them to Ubon for pizza for the day. I say I am not driving 140 km, fighting Ubon traffic for a pizza, then drive home.

Read this and say to the wife, there is an air show in Ubon tomorrow. She says yes the kids, niece and some family would like to go. I say I would like to go, why didn't you tell me.

Answer, you didn't want to go and get pizza.

Anyway anyone have the phone number for the Pardang hotel across the road from the Wrongway, can't find their card or number on the net. Jim

What time you plan to heading there, i might drop by as well if i have change.. if not take a lot of pictures so i know what i missed

Thanks for that, phoned and they have rooms, know the owner fairly well, he did a bit of a photo shoot with my kids to advertise the hotel.

Now like the Ents in lord of the rings a decision has to be made, some want to go, but others don't want to stay the night. I am not driving all that way there and back same day.

As I type a decision has been make, we are going, Wife, I and kids will stay, others will take another car and drive back same day. Jim

Last year the show was about mid morning I believe. I didn't know it was happening till I saw it from home and it did look good. I drove through the base and they have field parking ready on the NW side of the runway.

Last flight out in the morning is 9 so probably start soon after.

Its 8.40am and looking out of my office window from Peppers, there is only a steady stream of traffic entering the base. There is no parking on Uppalisan road, erected signs everywhere.

We had a great day! Will get some video up on my blog eventually too. I've never seen so many people at an event in Ubon.

It was certainly a lot better than I was expecting. Good job done by the RTAF

It was a good show, but the traffic was murder and we got there early. If we had arrived at lunch time think we would have seen it all from the car. Half the population of Ubon must have been there. Jim
