Happy Holidays folks!

Last night, Christmas Day...we had a massive bloom

of our Cereus plant just before midnight. When these

flowers bloom the air by the plant is filled with a subtle

but lovely scent that's very hard to describe...however

the scent is very pleasant...almost erotic. I am also a firm

believer these plants come from outer space because one

pic reminds me of an episode on the Outer Limits, the original

series not the remake...

@SJ...My missus loves these "lipstick" plants...has heaps around our place.

Another little wild vine that I sometimes trip over.

Cheers Jim.I appreciate your kind comment.

I would of had some more photos of Mrs Shaggy's roses...but someone else took and exception to them also

and gave them an early pruning....as you can imagine the Mrs was not a happy bunny, and to make matters

worse the Orchids that we bought in Rayong arrived the same day via her sisters pick up.

.......looked like they had been through a wind tunnel w00t.gif

More on this tomorrow, but in my last few days here for a couple of years I've managed to restore the front garden. Here's a selection of plants we got from my favorite place in the world yesterday, a garden centre in the heart of Roi-Et . . .

Gone for a couple of years? 9 months away was long enough for me........

Last time I was away 2 years and 7 months. Got back here to find decay and ruin. The kids rotting in Bangla Mung of all hideous shitholes.

House now restored, kids back with me and Auntie, good schools, good diet, lots of toys, better than ever. Now off to work again for another couple of years.

One day I'll be at peace.

Had these growing in the garden. Not a clue what they're called.
